My uncle is a typical Virgo, attentive, tidy, precise, and so on. And he is erudite in various field. Even he is an engineer he understands art as well. Since I was a child, he has been the model in my innermost heart. I never tell anyone even my mom till I grew up.  I look up to him but also revere him. A Logo Between Wild and Rational - Untamind Studio

How can a figure show the sea and the mountain at the same time? Showing the wild and the rational side of the design. When I tried to depict the image of the brand, I kept reminding myself of the core spirit of Untamind. The wild can never be obedient, the rational should always be thoughtful. The unlimited liquid-like form represents feasible, open-minded yet imaginable shape. The shape also gives a hint of the brand name, and looks like the compound letter of U and M. The U is "untamed", the M is "mind", and then combine them to form the blended word ---- Untamind. I chose a lower saturation of chrome yellow to give the logo a young but cultivated image. The color conveys an innovative spirit and a thoughtful mind. It's like the lemon zest that evokes the mood of designers whenever they are creating a specific design.

Delicious Brand Design for Cream Meissen

Cream Meissen is a brand of honey cakes. The logo found its inspiration from the cake ingredients, such as cream, wheat, butter, honey, and the others. I have finally chosen cream to be the main shape because it's the most common  impression of cake for the public. And I add wheat on the top of it to form a lively image and it looks like ears of a bunny. I'm certain about the delightful feeling brought by cakes when eaten. The adorable image is suitable for a dessert brand. Besides, I draw a drop at the bottom of the main icon. It represents honey which is also the main product of the shop ---- honey cake. It also gives a dynamic logo for the shop. The color plan focuses on a tasteful colors like orange and yellow. Orange color always gives a good appetite. Molding Business Card: Show You More Than Words

A common mistake of business cards is placing too much information. When I saw the business card of Goodware company, I was shocked. Even though there were a lot of information, I couldn't understand what the point is. So I tried to redesign it. Goodware is a molding company. They focus on selling interior decoration materials such as the Roman column, ceiling dome, onlay, and etc. But the largest number of product is molding. That's why I used the pattern of molding to be the main image. I chose the common designs in molding like rope, egg and draft, and plain pattern. I wanted to make a clear impression for the customers. I also arranged the pattern to form a radiate shape. Making it looked like an interior space. The customers can see the ceiling, the wall, and the floor which makes it more convincing what the company does. Finally, the most important part was the information. Greeting Card Design, Exceed Greeting

What messages can a greeting card deliver? Is it only for wishes? Once, when Christmas came, I had to design a greeting card for all the customers. At that time I worked in a molding company, so I thought about how to make a greeting card for that industry. Maybe a card that doesn’t only show a Christmas theme. After brainstorming, the design I created could give a hint to the customers about who was the sender of the greeting card. I decided to put more company relative elements inside which are tools for installation and products of molding. I wanted to create an atmosphere of Christmas and an impression of the industry at the same time. If you are a penetrative observer, I guess you already knew what trick I did for that greeting card. Impressive Logo Definition of Agriculture Cooperative

Formerly, SHE-KOU was a celery wholesaler in Taiwan. That's why I use celery leaf to be the main element of the logo. Then I gradually transform it to symbolize the other vegetables they also sell. The final leaf integrates farmland to show agriculture cooperative impression directly. Moreover, I arrange it, and it resembles five-star which represent high-quality products. I want to give the customer a reliable image. It's also like a flower which is an emblem for prosperity. This means a blissful future for the company.  The color plan uses green as the main color and yellow as an auxiliary color. The green color symbolizes plant, crop, and land, the yellow means the sun. The color changes from yellow to green. In Mandarin language, The changing of colors is called “dung sheng” which means the sun rises in the east which has also has the same pronunciation of the owner's name. 

A Visual Design Makes Dance Festival Blossom

What is your impression about school and being a student? I guess most of us have been a student. And it is also the time that we are in our most innovative selves.  When I received this project, the first impression popped up in my mind was energy. Because it was a project about the dance festival of Tai-Yi university. It let me associate with choreography, setting, lighting, and everything that needed a power of creativity. So after brainstorming, I chose the idea of ”blossom" to be the concept. The blossom flower just like all their hard working would show in that moment. When the flower blossom, It’s also like dance through the wind. This idea could fully show the spirit of the dance festival.  How did I show “blossom” concept on the design? Let The Gift “Talk to You” - Packaging Idea

Every gift has a blessing. Sometimes the blessing is obvious and sometimes it's obscure. If you listen to it carefully, maybe you will discover somebody wants to tell you something. That is why many people think twice before they give a gift. They considered the meaning, the reaction, and the association. "Talk to You" is a packaging design that is inspired from the said considerations. It's a packaging design for Chinese dried food. And we have a common tradition which is to send gifts on special and important days.  We combined a Taiwanese homonym with dried food to pun on blessings. Each dried food has its own Taiwanese homonym. The customers can choose a maximum of 4 characters to complete their blessing. Such as the homonym of Chinese radish which means good luck in Taiwanese. Impressions of Our Hometown

Design with a specific cultural sight isn't an easy thing for every designer. There are numerous places and subcultures in the world. We can't experience or understand all of them, but we try our best to interpret correctly. This dance production, Impressions of Our Hometown, made from LEI Dance Theater which focuses on telling Taiwan story by their body, and choreographing performance across western and eastern, dance and drama. The designer derived the idea from their spirit to create an ethnic culture graphic. All composition is traditional culture.  The poster exposes a strong orient impression and also connected the topic. The program brochure also tells a vivid story of each picture, leads the audience through it to reveal the memory of the place.  Those elements included traditional costumes, architectures, fabrics, cuisines, landscapes, and activities. Photography "Turn On" by Untamind Art Studio

What can you associate with the phrase “turn on”? Is it activates something or something causes someone's emotion? For this project, both definitions existed in the Untamind Studio's photography.  We want viewers to feel that the works are performing by itself while they're watching this project. The photo doesn't only shows a 2D world but also a lively thinking. "Turn on" could be turning on your creative as well as your undiscovered self.  The concept is inspired by the word "canon" which means the dancers perform the same movements in the beginning at different times. It wants to arouse viewers' curiosity and creativity.  Our camera stood in the same position. We only changed the setting of the elements and the dancer's motion.
